I am running the Ladybower Trail Marathon in memory of two friends, Bill Fox, a talented and popular local distance runner and Barry Duckworth, a local climber who was a member of Mynydd Climbing Club (as I am). They died within about 18 months of each other from pancreatic cancer, at roughly the same age - far too young.

You always told me, Bill, that I should mix my training up more - well I have done for this one, my first marathon since going through cancer myself.
