We raise funds to support Hull Hospitals to enhance and enrich patient experiences

Story

We are a group of Hull based Anaesthetists, an Operating Department Practitioner, an Emergency Medicine consultant and 3 spouses who are undertaking The Gauntlet Relay Triathlon at Castle Howard on Sunday July 25th. In 3 teams we will be swimming 1.9Km in the lake at Castle Howard, cycling 90km around the Howardian Hills and running 21km around the estate grounds. To help us round we would like to support a charity that is important to all of us, the WISHH charity

Historically hospitals have always relied on public support, even after the founding of the NHS; Hull and East Yorkshire (HEY) Hospitals are no different. Our mission as a charity is to raise money to help the Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital do more to ensure every patient receives the best and most modern care possible. Your support will help provide additional specialist equipment and support services, as well as aid the transformation of spaces and facilities within the hospitals for patient and visitor comfort alike.

About the charity

WISHH stands for Working Independently to Support Hull Hospitals. We fundraise to complement and enrich the services and facilities at Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospitals, over and above what can be achieved by the NHS alone, for the benefit and comfort of patients and their loved ones.
