Founded in 1994, DAWGS has rehomed over 4,000 dogs. We are dedicated to finding loving homes for dogs whose owners can no longer care for them. We receive no government funding and rely on the generosity of our supporters to continue our work. Thank you for your donation.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I want to raise funds for DAWGS (SCIO), an Aberdeen based charity that has, for over twenty years, been finding loving new homes throughout the North East for dogs whose owners, perhaps due to illness, frailty or a change in family circumstances, can no longer take care of them.  DAWGS match families and dogs to ensure the best possible chance that its doggy 'tails' have happy endings.  It costs over £350 to re-home every dog, more if kenneling, veterinary care or other services are needed, and DAWGS relies on donations and fundraising to keep its service going.  All the money I raise will go to help give as many dogs as possible the second chance my two dogs got. My fundraising is supported by my employers, John and Lynda Innes of Bankhead Kennels in Auchterless where I have worked part-time for nearly three years, helping to look after all the lovely doggies who are on their 'holidays'. Thank you for your kindness and support.
