Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a rare condition that progressively damages parts of the nervous system. We don't know what causes it, there is no single test to diagnose it and there is currently no cure. It has a profound impact on people's lives.

The disease can affect ANYONE at ANYTIME. It affects around two in every 100,000 people in the UK each year. However it is usually diagnosed in people over 40.

In about 5% of cases there has been a family history of MND or a related condition called frontotemporal dementia.

My mission is to campaign and raise awareness of the disease and to raise funds for the MND Association (the ONLY national charity in England, Wales and N. Ireland) to fund and promote research so the needs of people with MND are addressed by society.
