I started supporting the Isabel Hospice when I moved our business to Welwyn Garden City in 2011. We wanted to support a local charity by printing banners and graphics for events. Supporting the Isabel Hospice has been a great pleasure and I have made many good friends along the way.
One of the highlights was winning the 2014 Spring Golf Day at Hanbury Manor (with help from my team). At the event I was asked to take part in the 2015 Iceland Volcano Challenge. I bravely agreed (the beer must have been strong) and started training with some of the team in anticipation of the challenge ahead. On many occasions I kept thinking WTF have I done. We spent many weekends walking and scrambling over the Chiltern Hills
The Iceland trek was one of the hardest and most amazing things I have ever done. Recently a group of us did the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge 24 miles and accent of the three highest peaks in Yorkshire. Again a great experience with friends of the hospice. Doing these challenges has given me great enjoyment and I love getting out of my comfort zone. (except the hostel bit) I have signed up to the Lake District 5 Peaks this October to raise more money for the hospice.
I would like to thank all of you who have put your hands in your pockets on many occasions to support and help me raise money for the Isabel Hospice. But could I ask you to stretch your generosity a bit further for this Challenge. Many thanks Geoff xxx
