Once again I'm touting for your hard-earned cash, and this year it'll be going to Macmillan Cancer Support. Your donations help cancer sufferers and their families deal with this dreadful disease, offering advice, support and a shoulder to lean on.

We all know people who've been affected either directly or indirectly, I'm doing this for those I know....

My Mum, my brother Pete, Christine, Melanie, Zoe... the list goes on. I'm sure you've one of your own. 

It's a bit of a landmark for me, too, as it's my 10th Great North Run. I ran in 2003 with 2 colleagues from work, as part of Team Arla Foods. There's a picture of Tim, Tomo, and I after the race a the top of the page. I got the bug then, and have been running ever since.
