Story
I have recently been discharged from Dorchester Hospital following the fitting of a second stent. I had my first heart attack almost five years ago, but a recent 'scare' caused me to see my doctor which resulted in an admission to hospital and another procedure. On both occasions the literature provided to the NHS by the BHF has been second to none in outlining in easy-to-understand language every aspect of treatment and after care.
One consequence of my treatment is the realization that I need to lose at least 4 stone (56lbs) in weight. On 5/10/22 I weighed in at 261lbs at The Marnhull Village Hall in front of The Marnhull Community Choir for whom I am Musical Director. They have generously offered to support this adventure to help with my motivation. I have set the target date of 01/10/2023 to achieve my goal. I believe this to be realistic and within my capabilities. I will weigh in once a month over the next 12 months to update this sight.
Thank you, in anticipation, for your support.
Thanks for visiting my page. I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation, and I'd be so grateful for your support. The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly, everyday hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target. Thanks!
