Story
Friday 8th May (VE Day)
As many people are stuck indoors for the health and wellbeing of the entire nation there are a number of people who are selflessly remaining at work in order to care for people who need it the most. I have been working along side the Camphill staff for almost two years now and I want to recognise the work they do all year round but especially at this difficult and worrying time.
I am lucky enough to work and live in one of the most beautiful places in the UK and I wish to reflect on that and help raise funds for the amazing Care Staff that are working tirelessly to keep Camphill running at this difficult and worrying time.
In order to raise money I will be doing the 3 peaks challenge, however due to the UK lockdown I will not be able to travel to the mountains so I will be climbing the equivalent height of each mountain up a separate historic building within the grounds of Stowe School in 12hrs.
Snowdon: (1085m) Queens Temple - 334 fights of stairs
Scafell Pike: (978m) Temple of Concord & Victory - 489 flights
Ben Nevis: (1345m) South Front Steps - 314 flights
