Story
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page.
In 2016 Will lost his life in an accident whilst doing the sport he loved.
Our friendship started at school in Year 7 and it was evident to me that Will was going to throw himself at every sporting opportunity. His positive, ‘can do’ attitude was always an inspiration, with him constantly wanting to share his love for sport with the people around him. With us both being fairly competitive this was going to make a game of tennis or mini golf an intense experience, however with Will excelling on the semi-pro cycling stage it was clear that he was always going to win a bike race! Despite his best efforts, Will and I never did enjoy a bike ride together, therefore with Will’s positive attitude and love of cycling spurring me on, I will undertake the challenge of riding from Land's End to John o’Groats from 19th to 28th August.
Will’s loving family created the Will Houghton Foundation (WHF) in his memory, a charity that champions Will’s passion for sport and spirit
for getting people involved. WHF supports UK charity’s that help 14-24 year olds reach their potential through education and sport.
