Our lives as a family changed dramatically in the space of a few minutes on 27 Sept 22 when George had a major seizure while awaiting a routine scan to establish the cause of some leg weakness he'd been experiencing. Before the end of the day we would come to learn that he had a brain tumour. A few weeks later, after further scans, we would be told that it was the worst kind - a high grade, incurable, stage 4 glioma - and that his predicted timeline was severely shortened. 

Our dad survived for 166 days from diagnosis, and while he was still able to, he would spend hours searching online for possible treatments. Devastatingly, we came to realise that there is very little research being done into brain tumours, and outcomes for patients are heartbreakingly poor. 

The Brain Tumour Charity aims to raise funds directly for research into this illness, desperately looking for new and advanced treatments. It is our fervent wish that no other family should receive this diagnosis, followed by the word 'incurable'.

All money raised will be paid directly to the Brain Tumour Charity.
