Story
Gill was an incredible person, loved and admired by all. She never let having cancer stop her from living life absolutely full speed, but even Gill had to put real life on hold on her long journeys to Oxford for radiotherapy treatment. Radiotherapy, which helps zap the area affected by cancer to kill the cells, was part of a treatment that helped give mum 14 years of fantastically energetic life after she was first diagnosed in 2001.
So we want to join the charity Brighter Futures in raising money for a dedicated radiotherapy unit at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon, where others like Mum can receive the same life-saving treatment that gave her so many healthy years with us.
Brighter Futures, the charity which raises money for Great Western Hospital in Swindon, has already successfully raised money to bring pioneering inter-operative radiotherapy treatment to Great Western.
