Story

We are Team Humberside and we are taking part in the Row The Channel Challenge on Saturday 28th November  2009. We will be at St Stephens Shopping Centre from 10.30am  rowing as fast as we can to beat the opposition in covering the distance of 22 miles ( the width of the English Channel ) in the shortest possible time.

Just to tell you something about us all. Paul Clucas is based at H & S Beverley, Andy Brown is from White Watch at Bransholme Fire Station (a former British Lightweight Champion), Martin Rodgers is Watch Manager at Scunthorpe  White Watch and Paul Wainwright is also form White Watch at Scunthorpe. Andy Sangster is our secret weapon ( 2008 British Champion) and is based at Peaks Lane Fire Station in Grimsby and last but not least is Matt Schultz based at Central Fire Station, Worship St, Hull.

We will be slogging  to bring back the trophy for Humberside and to raise funds for the Fire Fighters Charity to ensure that we can help as many people as possible form our brigade to get the help they need. Every 30 seconds UK fire fighters are called to an incident , putting their lives on the line and often sustaining  physical injuries whilst carrying out their duties. The Fire Fighters Charity is here for fire fighters in their times of need and helps over 17,000 individuals every year, by providing pioneering treatment and support services.

Support us now and make sure we are not only the winning team on time, but the best fundraisers too!!   Remember you  will not miss a  50p donation but collectively it will make a great difference to how much we make.!!
