After years of being very unfit and the mention of statins when I had my last health check, I decided it was time to do something about it. I've wanted to do a triathlon for years - and have now found a very short one that is feasible for someone who is as unfit as me. It is my fitness goal for 2016 to finish 200m swim, 4km bike & 2 km run and to that end I'm exercising three times a week.

In December 2014, my good friend Rob Longhurst left us far too soon as a result of bowel cancer. Therefore it makes sense to me to combine these two facts and raise money for Bowel & Cancer Research whilst following my fitness goal.
