Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 23/24 August 2014 I am undertaking to walk/jog the 106km (66 miles) coastal path round the IOW in under 20 hours. This will be a real test of stamina & determination being an additional 20 miles compared to the recent Pathfinder March undertaken (46 miles) and decidedly hillier terrain to cover!
I am fortunate enough to have enough food to eat and not worry about when my next meal will be and or even come from. Unfortunately there are millions of people around the world who are not in similar positions. The vast majority of these people could actually more than survive on the food that we throw away as excess in this country.
This time I am seeking to raise money for The Hunger Project - a charity committed to ending hunger and poverty by pioneering sustainable, grassroots,
women-centred strategies and advocating for their widespread adoption in
countries throughout the world. Their vision is a world where every woman, man and child leads a healthy, fulfilling life of self-reliance and dignity.
Please go to their website (http://www.thehungerproject.co.uk/whatwedo/mission/) for details on the projects they undertake and the principles they work towards.
The following link details how your sponsorship money will be used by them:

I have to raise £375 as a minimum but would like to think that more can be raised by people such as us who live such privileged material lives compared to so many others. YOU can make a difference by sponsoring this challenge. Thank you so much.
