We protect human rights to create a safer, more just world.

Story

On the 29th-30th April, Glasgow University Amnesty International will be donning hiking boots and waterproof jackets to take a trip up Goat Fell and we need your help. Goat Fell is the highest point on the Isle of Arran so this could be quite a challenge for some of us! We're doing this to raise money for Amnesty and we'd really appreciate your sponsorship.

For those of you who don't know, Amnesty International work to protect against human rights abuses worldwide, from campaiging for the release of prisoners of conscience to lobbying governments on laws or practices which break international human rights law. As a student society, we raise money for AIUK and campaign on issues related to human rights. It is better to light a candle (or in this case, climb a mountain) than to curse the darkness!
