Friedreich's Ataxia is a condition I know very well, having watched my younger brother David suffer from this debilitating disease his whole life. He sadly passed away in 1996 at 29 years old. He was a truly inspirational young man, who never gave up and inspired me every day to become champion of the world in boxing. It is in his honor that I accepted this challenge, suggested to me by a very brave young Welshman Geraint Williams who suffers from the same condition and who will be accompanying me on the trek. Our aim is to raise as much money as possible to help fund research into finding a cure for this disease, and to raise awareness. I appreciate every penny of your kind donation.
