MND research is at a point where life-saving treatments are potentially on the horizon. And Sheffield is more than ready to be a frontrunner to find the answers. By fundraising, you'll improve the lives of patients long into the future.

Story

It is only when an illness touches your life that your awareness is heightened.

Our lovely friend Caroline has motor neurone disease, and whilst it has changed her life completely, her strength and courage have been inspiring.

Rob Burrow, Doddie Weir and Kevin Sinfield have highlighted the lack of funding for research, but thankfully resources are improving. Sara and Glynis are going to undertake the Cardiff to Tenby (CarTen) bike ride on the 20th of May 2023 to raise funds for this research.

Please could you consider giving as much or as little as you can for this fantastic cause.

MND is a terminal condition. It affects the brain and nerves and is nearly always fatal. In the UK alone, 1 in every 300 people in the UK will develop MND in their lifetime. But there's hope. The University of Sheffield has world-leading MND researchers working tirelessly to find a cure for this debilitating disease.By making a gift today you will make a much needed breakthrough in MND come even sooner. And you'll improve the lives of MND patients long into the future.

Best wishes,

Sara and Glynis
