I plan on flying to Space in 2014 (date yet to be determined) on Virgin's "Galactic" space travel flight. The money raised for this charity will be used and any excess money will be donated to the chosen charity.

Ever since I can remember I have wanted to go into space, something about exploring where no man or woman has gone before excites me. Space travel is the future of the human race: for once we have left our solar system, we - as a species - become immortilised, as no single event could ever wipe us out. Space travel also leads to many new oppertunites: resources which are scarce on earth such as platinum can be found in near infinite amounts in space, and with a new abundence of materials people would no longer need to live in scarcity any longer. We would have the resources to literally satisfy the needs of every man, woman and child on our worlds. The need for money and barter would disapear, as would much of the crime and violence that is associated with it.

If you're reading this then please try and do something to reignite peoples interest in the skies above. There is so much out there that we have yet to discover, don't listen to people who say that we should solve our problems down here before we start looking up there; for all we know some of the answers to Earth's problems could lie somewhere in the stars.
