Story
In January 2015 I was diagnosed with myeloma. I received chemotherapy, radiotherapy and a stem cell transplant at ARI Anchor Wing. I was in isolation for 4 weeks in Ward 112 and during this time I saw first hand how Friends of Anchor support patients, families and staff - just a small part of the amazing work they do. My daily ice lolly, ginger chewing gum or chat with the Friends of Anchor volunteers made my stay more bearable.
A research department in Aberdeen would be one step closer to supporting all the cancer patients in the North East.
As many of you know I like to strut my stuff but not sure if I'm ready to do it in front of an audience yet...but bring it on and I'll see you on the catwalk!
