Ugandan primary school lost due to Covid-19 · 27 August 2021

A world with universal access to housing, education and health care. We believe that providing underprivileged communities in Uganda with good quality school buildings can significantly improve the educational experience and life prospects of thousands of children.

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We aim to provide children in Uganda with high quality education, helping to break the cycle of poverty and ensure that every child has the opportunity to obtain, as a minimum, a primary school education.  Education is not free in Uganda, and Project Le Monde works to improve the environment where children learn, building schools and providing educational resources including clean water, library books, curriculum materials and a midday meal.

We support teaching staff with further training to help them deliver an engaging curriculum and an interactive teaching model.  Many teachers have had a limited time at secondary school, and PLM assists teachers to gain additional teaching qualifications.

By supporting the work of our charity, you are giving a young person a greater chance in life.  Your donation will provide school fees for our children in three schools across Uganda.  This really does make a difference.  The first girl we supported through her educational journey is now a graduate of the Women's University in Kampala.  She is a role model for girls growing up in the slums, and a huge support to her family.   Thank you.
