We are the UK's leading charity providing financial, social and emotional support to millions who have served and are currently serving in the British Armed Forces and their dependents.

Story

My name is Graham A.K.A Wheels to my close friends. I was born with SpinaBifida and Hydrocephalus as a result I am a full-time wheelchair user hence the nickname Wheels.

As a youngster I was brought up to do my best and try to do whatever I could or find a way to do it.

I have done many things in my life from wheelchair racing with the likes of Tanni Grey-Thompson and David Weir to name two. I have also done rifle and pistol shooting on and off over the years with a brief spell as part of the Great Britain Paralympic Pathway team.

The reason I chose to raise money for the Royal British Legion is because I have had and still have friends and family that served in the armed forces.

Another major reason for choosing this fantastic charity and the amazing work they do is, members of my family have been members of the Royal British Legion and I am still a member of the Riders Branch of the RBL.

when I was young maybe 9 or 10 the RBL club in west Kilburn raised over seven thousand pounds to help get me started in wheelchair racing and take it as far as I could.

Due to a serious shoulder injury I sustained while racing I had to retire from the sport I loved at the age of 15. It was about a year later I started pistol shooting at my local shooting club in Wembley but this was short lived due to the horrific incident in Dunblane which forced my local club to close as their lease was revoked.

fast forward several years and I was working as a fitness instructor in a gym in Stanmore Middlesex where I met Darren who was into shooting so we started going target shooting for fun.

So this is me and my story of why I want to jump out of a perfectly serviceable airplane with the Red Devils Army Parachute display team.

please help me to raise as much money as humanly possible for this amazing charity.

Thank you in advance

Graham
