Berlin Marathon 2009 · 20 September 2009 ·
Dear one and all,
After spectacularly chickening out of running the Edinburgh Marathon in May I have (stupidly) agreed to run the Berlin Marathon this September in order to raise money for The Samaritans. Training is going well at present (despite a bit of chaffage here and there) and I currently envisage being able to complete the course in a reasonable time, without walking, crying or doing a Paula Radcliffe half-way round (think Greece 2004)!
About The Samaritans:
Samaritans provides confidential non-judgemental emotional support, 24 hours a day for people who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those which could lead to suicide. The service is wholly reliant on volunteers and generous financial donations from members of the public.
So, please dig deep and give all that you are able, any amount is going to be very well recieved and massively appreciated.
Kind regards,
Graham (Schnell, Schnell) Matuszak
