Story
We are completing Challenges to raise money to support the St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital. Having successfully completed a Twenty-Four Hour Running Relay around London in 2020, we are now going to do a virtual FORTY-EIGHT HOUR Relay with Team Members completing their choice of exercise wherever they are before the next one takes over so that it is continuous.
This is due to take place from the morning of St Bernard of Clairvaux's Day on Friday 20th August 2021 until the Sunday morning. With offline donations and gift aid we more than reached last year's target of £11,670 to fund a surgical stall. JustGiving's system does not reflect this above - our present real total is: £13,950.89 at time of updating!
Rather than one target this year, the following are the vital items of equipment we can fund for the Eye Hospital depending on how much the Challenges are able to raise. We will try to get at least one portable auto-refractometer if at all possible (please give generously):
Syringe pump: £1,600; Emergency trolley: £2,400; Slit lamp LED upgrade: £2,800; Phaco handpiece or ECG: £4,000; Surgical Instrument Washer or Treatment Chair: £4,800; Glydescope video laryngoscope: £10,400; Portable auto-refractometer: £12,000.
We will explain each item on twitter in due course - please see @KnightsVision
