The Sleep Apnoea Trust exists to improve the lives of sleep apnoea patients, their partners and families. We run help lines, produce information leaflets and newsletters, raise awareness, run conferences and fund research. The Trust is a patient support charity run by patients.

Story

For those who don't know - my Dad passed away in 2009 suddenly after a cardiac arrest. This was partly caused due to a condition called Sleep Apnea which is where breathing is hindered and stops whilst sufferers sleep. He had only been diagnosed this a year before he passed but due to a change in his living arrangement he fell asleep in the afternoon by himself but didn't have his respiratory machine to aid his breathing and this caused the cardiac arrest.

I'm running in aid of the Sleep Apnea Trust to help people manage the condition and work to find a more permanent cure. 2019 will be the 10th anniversary of my dads passing and he was my driving force behind everything and anything I had a passion for. I know I need to improve my own health to prevent any complications of my own in the future so this seemed like the perfect marriage of doing something to remember my dad for and forcing myself to train towards a healthier lifestyle, life's too short so its time to make the most of it.

Any donations, whether it's £1 or £10 is massively appreciated.
