Story
On Easter Monday, I was on my way back from Brands Hatch on my motorbike, when I hit, a piece of timber across the M11 carriageway.
I was close to death, but a lady following me in her car, came to my rescue, cradled my head, held my hand and talked to me for 2 hours, whilst various emergency services and Air Ambulance Paramedics helped me out.
I was airlifted by Air Ambulance to Addenbrookes, with smashed ankle, fractured pelvis, arm, collarbone, 7 ribs, sternum, 2 vertebrae and little finger!
Over a period of 2 months, the wonderful NHS staff put my broken body back together, and I came home.
My smashed ankle/leg is improving and I can now stand and walk a few steps unaided.
There is no doubt that if I hadn't had all this fantastic help, I would not have survived.
On Christmas Day at 12 noon, I am determined to walk unaided to Waterbeach Station, from my home in Adams Court, a distance of 400 yards.
The Air Ambulance is run by charitable donations, so please help finance them, by sponsoring me on my walk.
