Land's End to John O'Groats bike ride · 21 September 2009
When my friend Carl left his job at Marks & Spencer earlier this year I suggested to him that we do a bike ride together as his job had meant he was away a lot and we didn't see him too often. Another school friend, Keith, said he'd come over from America and do it with us which is great. As we have a further friend from school, Stu and his wife Emma, who have an autistic son, we thought we'd try and raise a few quid that would directly benefit him. The charity that supports him is www.newmantrust.org and we've linked this justgiving account to that charity so that any donations we get will directly benefit Stu and Emma's son who's name is James. We haven't really discussed a target so I just put in 1000 pounds as a guess, probably because I know we're going to have to cycle about 1000 miles and the figure was in my head. Anyway I/we are hoping that a few people will give some donations, even if it's 2-3 quid we'd appreciate it, and I'm sure James will as well.
Thank-you, now just the 1000 odd miles to cycle!
Greg,Keith and Carl.
