Mustard Tree combats poverty and prevents homelessness across Greater Manchester. We provide a foundation of food, clothing, furniture, support work and community, alongside courses, classes and accredited training. All in the same space. We now do this for over 10,000 people a month.

Story

**Disclaimer: Engaging in any activity for extended periods of time carries health risks, in 2017 during a similar event Brian "Poshybird" Vigneault sadly passed away attempting to raise funds for charity in the same way. While I have taken every opportunity to minimize danger to myself I cant truthfully say I have removed it.**

Hello!

What you doing?

To try and raise funds for the Mustard tree I will be attempting to stay awake for 32 hours solid. All going well I will be awake from 9am on Saturday the 12th of October till 5pm on the 13th. This is already a grueling plan but I've decided to involve everyone and try and make this a team effort. To help me have something to do for these hours I have decided to play Skyrim for those 32 hours, fully live streamed on Youtube.

Skyrim? Fo real?

Yes Skyrim for one simple reason: Mods.

Skyrim has more mods than any other game out there and some of them are real game changers. So here's the kicker that takes this challenge from a 5 and cranks it up to a 9: donation received will shape the play through.

  • For every £5 donated a mod can be suggested to make the game easier or more difficult.
  • For every £10 donated a play through challenge can be selected to slowly crank up the difficulty.
  • For every £20 donated a direct rule can be added into the game that will limit or restrict the game in some capacity.

BUT WAIT, THERES MORE!

To mix things up I will also be running 31 onstream challenges that will change every hour. 2 will be selected at random and voted for, whichever wins will be in effect for the next hour and so on and so fourth until the stream ends. Interactive fancy fun!

Ok but whats a mod?

A mod is a modification to the normal game that adds in fan created content, this can range from entire game overhauls to create entirely new games to smaller and simpler things like being able to wear more jewelry.

Ok but I don't know any Skyrim mods.

Got ya covered fam, simply drop a look below to see a list of mods I've found that increase the difficulty in someway. If you like the sound of it add the name of it to the comment box when making a donation. If you want to donate but don't know what to do just comment random and I'll pick one at random for you.

So its only from the list?

Nope, so long as its on Skyrim special edition on the PC you can request it. Got a mod you always include or something that could add "fun" feel free to suggest it.

How about the £10 and £20 stuff?

Same as the above, you can request not from the list but if you find it easier from the list just name one in the comment box when making a donation.

Any restrictions?

Yes, please don't suggest anything game breaking, nude mods, total world overhaul stuff to the level of Enderal and nothing macho man randy savage. If requesting a challenge or adding in a rule again please don't make them game breaking as it will ruin the run and no one wants to see me start new characters every 20 minutes.

Whats the plan for the livestream?

I will update this page with the channel that its going to be broadcast from and from there you can join in, vote on challenges, come chat at any time (will be grateful of company 2am to 8am) or just have me on as background noise. When all is said and done the full video will be left on youtube as a reminder of the event.

How you planning on staying awake?

Insomnia mostly, careful food planning and frequent toilet breaks.

Whats with the target goal?

This is the minimum needed for me to qualify for a donation bonus offered by my work place of an extra £100 which would go a long way to help support the charity.

Why the mustard tree?

The mustard tree is a charity I have visited a few times and personally agree with their methods and the support they offer. In the several years i have been up here they have supported more than a few people I know and recently helped a good friend find employment when no one else would. This is a small token of thanks I can give them for the hard work and dedication they put in daily.

Can I donate multiple times?

Sure, if its easier you can donate any amount and request any combination of things that equal that amount. just put it all in the comment box and ill take care of the rest.

Why 1 month?

a month build up gives me alot of testing times as well as giving the event enough time for hopefully reach its goal. Also gives people more time to think.

Wheres them lists?
