Story

Update from Alfie!

In August 2018, I am going to embark on the final leg of my Three Peaks Challenge as I attempt to conquer Scafell Pike! I will have my trusted sidekick with me as always, Antony Cotton, who is incredibly supportive of what I am doing, as he shares the same passion for H4H as I do. Thank you Antony. Could I ask you please to dig deep for the last part of my Three Peaks Challenge and see if we can smash my previous fundraising targets. All the money raised so far has made so many of our poorly servicemen and women incredibly happy, it is hard not to cry when you see how the money helps them during their struggles. From one penny, to one pound, to one hundred pounds, every bit helps, anything you can afford is really appreciated. I thank you from the bottom of my heart, I just love helping other people and raising money for H4H, who do so much to help our military people. When I climbed Snowdon in 2016 I managed to raise enough funds for ex-Para John Prosser to get a new wheelchair. The reward really pays off seeing these incredible people getting help by just climbing a mountain. If you are in the area and would like to walk up Scafell Pike with me, please get in touch or follow me on twitter @_pintsizehero.

Alfie McAnespie and Antony Cotton are joining forces to conquer Ben Nevis!

Alfie is 9 years old and already a Help For Heroes fundraising hero. Following on from his many past adventures, this will mark his biggest, and highest challenge so far in his young life. He is an inspiration to all who meet him, and proof that anyone can make huge difference, no matter what age they are. This Ben Nevis ascent was Alfie's idea. He's in charge, because he knows what raising money for charity is all about!

Antony is best known for playing Sean Tully in Coronation Street. He is a very proud ambassador of Help For Heroes. When one of his close friends was suffering with PTSD and started using the Recovery Centre in Catterick, Antony promised him that he would do all he could to help the charity as a thank you for looking after his friend.
