Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page in support of our Half Marathon efforts for our new National Charity, Marie Curie.  Paul Cliff, Tammy Paleari, John Quentin, Joshua Pendergast, Kim McKenzie, Victoria Jew, Jodie Dennis, Lee Harris, Rob Griffith Jones and Dale Roberts have all signed up to run the Rotary Shakespeare Half Marathon in Stratford Upon Avon on May 8.

 

As you will know, Marie Curie aims to "give everyone with cancer and other illnesses the high quality care and support they need at the end of their life in the place of their choice".  Such a simple mission statement, but such a huge task.

 

It takes £9,212 an hour to keep Marie Curie going.  They have 2,000 nurses in the UK who last year worked for 1,200,000 hours caring for terminally ill patients, including half of all cancer patients who die at home.  That's for perspective.

 

So let's make this years charity efforts the most successful yet, starting here.  Donations of all sizes welcome and warmly encouraged, let's dig deep and set the year off with a bang.
