Story
ALTHOUGH the marathon plan didn't work out, the journey isn't over. I've recruited a fundraising team and we are back in the hunt for your cash!
I am delighted to say, that we will be cycling from London to Brussels on 20/21/22 September 2024 to raise money for Alzheimer's Research UK. If Petch's knee doesn't hold out, Greg said that he will give him a backy all the way which is so nice of him.
All four of us unfortunately have a personal connection to this horrendous illness, and we are determined to spread some positivity and raise a SHEDLOAD of cash to help with the fight against it.
Dementia is a horrible thing, unfortunately in the UK there are 600 people PER DAY who are newly diagnosed with dementia. It affects the brain and causes those suffering with the illness to lose cognitive function. This can take the form of confusion, memory issues and losing the ability to perform daily tasks that we all can take for granted.
The worst thing about this illness is there is currently no cure. That means that once diagnosed, the individual will have Alzheimer's for life.
Alzheimer's Research UK use donations to explore 4 key areas; understanding, diagnosis, risk reduction and treatment options. With your help, we can start to turn the tide against this illness and take steps towards finding a cure.
Any donation is extremely gratefully received, thank you for your support.
Love Petchy, Taggy, Dom and Greggles x
