This year I decided to challenge myself and my legs to a 13.1 mile run, in the hope I could raise money for a charity so close to my heart. It seemed a good idea at the time but with less than a week to go this has been one of my biggest physical and mental challenges to date.
Its extremely emotional trying to write why I have chosen this particular charity. Instead a simple photograph from happier times is enough. Our darling 'Nanny' is continuing to live daily with this incurable disease her family around her continuing to love and care for her. We no longer hear her stories and tales, we no longer feel her love and affection. All we can do is sit and watch....
My aim is to raise £130.10 (£10) per mile that I am running! Any donations will be greatly received by myself and The Alzheimer’s Society who work tirelessly to support families across the uk. Their vision is a world without dementia!
