I am very excited (with a strong undercurrent of anxiety!) to be running the 2019 London Marathon!! Chief mascot and motivation is my godson Thomas. Thomas is a gorgeous, happy 4-year old with extremely complex disabilities which mean that he is unable to communicate, move or eat without assistance and will need support throughout his life. The help that Contact provide to families like Thomas' is critical - making sure that they get the care and support they need for their children. Thinking of Thomas' mega-watt smile will be great encouragement to me on cold, wet mornings when I need to get out of the house on another training run.
