Well, I have just had to re-write my "Just Giving Story" because so much has changed since I signed up.  The biggest difference is that I have changed partnership and now have an amazing grey called Bertie to join me on my adventure.  After many discussions, soul searching and some tears I came to the conclusion that if I wanted to complete the challenge I wouldn't be doing it with Fly.  He's now living the life of riley at Sparsholt College being loved by all the students and staff.  By absolute coincidence Bertie's owner, Tia, was looking for a loan home for him and so our journey began. 

After some clinics, lessons and a serious dose of braveness we have been out and about and loving competing.  Now onto the challenge in hand.  It was set by a group of ladies to encourage ladies and gents of a certain age and ability to push themselves that little bit further than usual and to compete a British Eventing 80cm class in the autumn of 2017.  By signing up we have agreed to raise as much money as possible for Hannah's Willberry Wonder Pony.  I have now taken the plunge and have entered the BE80 class at Bovington in October and will be accompanied by our little berry pony, Rooberry.

Now I cannot guarantee that we will come away with a rosette but I can completely guarantee that we will try our hardest.  Now I know that there will be blood, sweat and tears and with a combined age of 55 by the time we do our stuff there will be aches and pains.  None of this compares in any way to what the inspirational Hannah went through during her treatment and she kept on going and going, smiling through it all and kicking cancers butt all the way.  I'll keep you all updated with our progress.  Together we can carry on #kickingcancersbutt
