On October 16th 2022, my grandad, Brian James Rutter passed away after a battle with Myeloma. For those that don't know, myeloma is a form of blood cancer. It accounts for 15% of all blood cancers and 2% of all cancers in the UK. It's is also known as multiple myeloma and currently there is no cure, and only 50% of all cases live past the 5 year mark. 

A bit about my grandad. He died aged 86, having been married to my grandmother for 62 years! He had 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandson (my Oscar). He worked on the railways most of his life, he was a huge Ipswich town fan and loved his family dearly.

For those that know me, I am not a runner. Having attempted it several times I do not enjoy it and quite frankly I am awful at it! I started (on suggestion of my brother) to do the couch to 5K last week. And my partner suggested we do a 5K obstacle run in April as a goal! Might not sound like a huge task but I promise, for me, it really is! 

So I am dedicating this run to my Grandad Brian. And to all the persons and their families that are living with myeloma. I am hoping you can help me raise money for this incredible charity.
