This summer, I'm cutting off 35cm (almost 14 inches) of my hair to be included in a wig for the Little Princess Trust.

The Little Princess Trust is a wonderful charity that provides wigs, free of charge, to children that have lost their hair due to cancer treatment or other illnesses. The wigs they make through hair donations don't cost the charity anything to be made, however some have to specially ordered in as not enough of the donated hair is suitable for a child. These wigs cost the charity around £350-£500 to buy in.

I have had long hair for as long as I can remember, and I know that if I were to lose it all, it would be very upsetting and leave me very insecure. The children supported by the Little Princess Trust are already going through enough with their illness and treatment - they don't deserve to feel insecure alongside that. Because of that, I want to help the charity provide wigs for children, so that they can have their confidence back in the face of their illness.
