Mikeysline is a mental health charity covering the Highlands, Islands and Moray, supporting those in emotional distress. Born in 2015 after the tragic loss of two close friends, the charity strives to support all ages and genders dealing with crisis through text, online and face-to-face.

Story

Our brother, son, uncle, friend and so much more. Mark was always the cheeky one, thinking up his next prank to make us all laugh. But behind this was a man who was hurting, so much he wanted his pain to stop.  Mark tried several times over his short life to complete suicide, eventually he took his own life but he took more than that he also took a piece of anyone that knew him.  We can never forget where we were when we heard the news, we can never bring him back but we can smile because he was part of our lives, even just for a short term. This sponsorship is not only to wish Mark a happy 50th birthday but to raise money for a small charity working hard to reduce the amount of families and friends receiving the news we did. That their loved one completed suidcide (I use completed as committed means a crime,  is it a crime to want the pain to stop).

Thank you for reading this and I hope to raise as much as possible for such a Great Man but in turn  an equally great charity xx
