Story
Engineers Without Borders UK partners with organisations and communities around the world to increase access to engineering in water and sanitation, clean energy and built environments. Over the past five years through their international work they have contributed a staggering 160,000 hours to projects, supporting the delivery of engineering infrastructure and the research and development of sustainable technologies.
Help them continue to deliver their incredible work by supporting me and Engineers Without Borders UK’s local project partner MASS in Rwanda. I will be spending 6 months helping MASS to develop their geotechnical engineering capability by developing design tools and mentoring their engineering team. This will help MASS to achieve their goal of designing innovative buildings that improve people's lives. See more about MASS's impressive work on buildings for education and healthcare here: https://massdesigngroup.org/
As a Chartered Civil Engineer with 7 years' experience in geotechnical engineering, I know I'm very lucky to have had access to a first class technical education, and to have been supported and mentored by skilled and experienced engineers. Help me to pass some of this on and to contribute to a sustainable engineering knowledge base in Rwanda.
By supporting Engineers Without Borders UK you'll also be contributing to projects designing solar power in Peru and micro-hydro in Borneo, building safe community spaces and providing flood protection in Kenya, and developing cleaner cookstoves in India - among other things!
Thanks for your support.
