Man vs Mountain · 1 September 2018
In 2005 the puppy-fat pair of us took part in a local 5k fun run dressed as Ali-G and a cow. 13 years later and with still the same enthusiasm for food, we have decided to take on a mountain of a challenge.
This Rat Race event includes running 22 miles up and down Snowdon and at an elevation of 1,085 metres above sea level, it is the highest point in the British Isles outside the Scottish
Highlands. This legendary mountain adventure race starts at sea level in the stunning Caernarfon Castle and weaves its way to the summit and down the other side into Dinorwic Quarry. If that isn’t enough, we will be met by an array of punishing obstacles, including the infamous Vertical Kilometre, the Parkour Wall and a water dunking before hopefully completing the course victorious and in one piece.
Whilst on one hand the event is an attempt to curb our waistlines, we are also raising money for a great charity and need your support. The Pituitary Foundation is a great cause and close to our hearts and any donations are most welcome.
In return for your generosity we promise to provide photo and video evidence of our inevitable struggle.
Thanks,
Chris & Harry
