We are cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats (LEJOG) in September 2019, over just 9 consecutive days to support Macmillan. At 980 miles, that's over 108 miles per day!

By joining Deloitte's Ride Across Britain we will help Macmillan to raise vital funds for people affected by cancer. By 2020, nearly 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. 

ALL donations received will go to Macmillan. We have paid our own entry fees to cover accommodation, food, and support during the ride. We will also pay for the travel and accommodation to and from the event, and for our own beer throughout. So, please rest assured that you are not funding a holiday!

When David does the LEJOG challenge next September it will be his 5th year clear of Testicular Cancer. Following Chemotherapy and a small operation in 2014 he was given the all clear and resumed cycling in May 2015. David says "With a full training plan I'll complete the ride and raise as much money as I can for Macmillans who do so much to help patients and families and friends of cancer sufferers".

So the training and fundraising has started. David's goal is to build up more 'saddle time' and leg muscles. This will mean hitting the gym and even attending some dreaded Spin classes! Weight loss and greater mileages are Craig's fitness priorities, and we will both post regular updates on fundraising activities.

And, of course, we will be carrying the flag (or Tetley Tea jersey) for our local cycle social group, the Hartford Cycle & Tea Society (CATS).
