Willowbrook Hospice, an independent charity covering St Helens & Knowsley in Merseyside, aims to enhance the quality of life, and relieve the suffering of patients with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses by providing Specialist Palliative Care for those in need and support for their carers.

Story

On 14th June 2015, 3 representatives of Hattons Solicitors will compete in the Rock n Roll running weekend in Liverpool in aid of Willowbrook Hospice (Registered Charity No. 1020240).

Solicitors Steve Hodkinson and David Merrills will attempt to complete the half marathon, while solicitor Mark Cotson will attempt to traverse the 26 mile marathon course to raise funds for the hospice.

Whilst the trio have taken part in previous Hattons fundraising endurance events, including a triathlon and cycling challenges, this will be their debut marathon. They are running to raise funds for Hattons "Charity of the Year" Willowbrook hospice.

Willowbrook hospice cares for patients with life limiting diseases living in St Helens, Knowsley and the surrounding areas. They have 10 in-patient beds, and provide hospice care to people suffering from life limiting diseases such as cancer, motor neurone disease, end stage heart failure and lung disease.

Since opening in 1997, the hospice have cared for over 6000 patients and have grown to receive over 850 patient referrals a year.
