In April 2024, I will be taking on the London Marathon in support of Embrace. By running the London Marathon, I hope to raise awareness and much-needed funds to support their vital work.

As you will all know, forensic science and the role it plays in criminal justice is a large passion in my life, but more often than not, the young victims or witnesses of crime are affected for life with little support. Embrace aims to support these young victims and witnesses in rebuilding their lives. When children are exposed to crime it can take away their confidence and self-esteem and cause fear, anxiety and host of other issues. Embraces main mission is to prioritise the needs of children and young people to help them recover from the effects of criminal abuse, exploitation and violence and providing trauma-informed online, telephone and face-to-face counselling services and practical help. 

I am by no means a runner and this will undoubtably be the hardest thing I ever try to complete, so any donation you can spare (big or small!) would be greatly appreciated and will go towards an excellent cause. Last year they helped over 5000 children and families and with the help of any donation you can give, next year they hope to increase that number.
