To be told that your daughter at 26 has been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, was and is devastating. However in her day to day
life Sam is nothing short of inspirational. She never moans or winges. Sam gets on with life and alongside her husband Chris and their Labrador Sally is in the process of turning their new house into a loving home. Sam is incredibly positive and has that “special something” that only certain people possess. She can lighten the darkest room, has a razor sharp wit and has probably dog walked over more of the Derbyshire Dales than anyone.
Her outlook on life just seems to grow. There is nothing that she cannot, will not or could not do. During recent months she has moved out of her and Chris’ rented house, juggled visits to her MND specialist
in Oxford, moved house, decorated the house (which is still ongoing), boarded dogs, kept her business going with the help of her great friend Bev and found time to have a wonderful social life.
Her friends of which she has loads are there for her, by her side
through this, which is testament to Sam as an individual.
She’s always there for you, will put others first and if you happen to have 4 legs instead of 2, will put you before anyone.
Tony and I will be incredibly thankful for every pound donated.
It doesn't have to be a large amount, it all helps and goes towards what
we all want. A cure. By giving just a few pounds it means that the
MND Association can help fight this disease.
We are both incredibly proud of Sam, she has such a lust for life and is loved by so many.
If you'd like to run the Kenilworth Green Leek 10k run with Tony and me, then we'd be more than happy, in fact we'd be ecstatic. The details are at www.greenleekrun.co.uk. Select “Online Entry” and register your interest at Run Britain
