Event: Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon 2018, on 18 March 2018
CDF Team Gluten-Free is proud to be an Official Charity Partner of the 2018 Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon on March 18, 2018. Participants will run from “the Stadium to the Sea”!

Story

My daughter Lauren is a student at the University of Southern California and was recently diagnosed with Celiac Disease.  As a mom thousands of miles away in Cleveland, OH, I want to be able to support Lauren as she moves forward with this life-changing diagnosis.

Running the Stadium portion of the Charity Challenge will enable me to do two of the things I love most  -- visiting my daughter and running a race --  all while contributing to an organization actively striving to help Lauren and many others like her.   What could be better?

For those unfamiliar with the organization, the Celiac Disease Foundation drives diagnosis, treatment, and a cure to improve the quality of life for all people affected by celiac disease and non-celiac gluten/wheat sensitivity.Since its founding in 1990, Celiac Disease Foundation has funded and executed national initiatives in three principal areas to bring an end to the suffering caused by celiac disease: medical research, patient and healthcare provider education, and public policy advocacy.
