There are more than 100,000 strokes in the UK each year; that is around one stroke every five minutes. There are over 1.2 million stroke Survivors in the UK. Every two seconds, someone in the world will have a stroke. 

In honour of a friend of mine who has unfortunately had cause to use the unit in the past year and family who have in the past been helped by them, I am abseiling the Queens Medical Centre Hospital in Nottingham on 21 September and have requested any funds I raise to be given to this important unit at City Hospital, Nottingham, funds will help with vital equipment and works.
