As most of you know, Matt & I lost our beloved Milly a few weeks ago.  It was unexpected, sudden and extremely quick, and has knocked us a little bit sideways.  Milly was incredibly complicated and since she came into our life in 2009, everything has been built around her.

2018 is now stretching out ahead with an emptiness we never expected and never wanted.  It feels like a good use of all that dog-walking time to train for something meaningful.  Although pretty fit, neither of us are runners - with a sum total of 6 runs between us ever - this is going to be a big challenge.  

We will be running Reigate together on 16th September, and with a route that goes past our front door it feels fitting to Milly to cover some of her familiar steps on our way.

In 2013 we came to know ECR - you can read their bio below - and we have never met such a lovely group of individuals so dedicated to the  dogs in their care (who are often elderly, troubled or unwell).  Nikki & Steve and the other volunteers go above and beyond and we are proud to support them as much as we can.  Very few Rescues would take on a dog with the severity of issues that Milly had - which we can understand - but it's often the small local Rescues that give the Millys of this world a second chance.

Our fundraising target is a big one.. but it's the only number that fits and a date we will never forget #150218
