Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.
On Thursday 4th October I will be modelling in the Breast Cancer Care fashion show. It will be my first time on a professional catwalk (in front of 800 guests) and I am looking forward to it with a mixture of trepidation and excitement!
All of the models who are taking part in this special event, have had, like me, a diagnosis of breast cancer at some point in their lives. I was first diagnosed with the disease in 2010; it was a bolt out of the blue and it has changed my life. The Show is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the courage of women and men who face the breast cancer battle - proof that you can look and feel great after a diagnosis of breast cancer. It is an amazing fiesta of fashion, fundraising and inspiration.
Last year’s show raised over £370,000 and this money made a vital difference to Breast Cancer Care. The reality is that there are more than half a million people in the UK today who have been diagnosed with breast cancer and every year another 60,000 hear the devastating news that they have the disease. Breast Cancer Care is here for every one of them, providing expert information and skilled emotional and practical support when it’s needed most. Any donation you are able to make, no matter how small, will make a real difference.
Thank you for so much for contributing to Breast Cancer Care (and fingers crossed I don't trip over like Naomi Campbell)!

PS. I did it and I didn't trip up! It was an emotional day as, Kim, one of the girls who most wanted to be there with us on the catwalk, passed away that morning, so we stepped out on to the runway heart-heavy but determined to do Kim proud. The courage of each model and the way in which they have faced this cruel disease with optimism and determination has been an incredibly life affirming experience.
