On Sunday 28^th August a group of walkers from Goostrey are taking part in the Morecambe Bay Walk a fundraiser for the charity Prevent Breast Cancer.  The walk is 7 to 8 miles long starting from the stony foreshore at Arnside it proceeds onto the sands and across the channels of the River Kent. The height of the river is usually between knee and thigh deep. The walk will be led by Cedric Robinson MBE, the Queen's 25^th Official Guide who has for 53 years escorted many thousands of charity fundraisers safely across the dangerous sands of the bay.
