On April 23, 2023 I will be running the iconic London Marathon. It’s no secret that this has been a long held ambition of mine and I’m delighted to be able to support Help & Care’s Roots project at the same time! 

The Roots gardening service is provided by a team of volunteers who are recovering from mental health issues and are trained and supervised by a Help & Care Garden Services Worker. It has been in operation since 1989 and was the first practical service developed by Help & Care. 

The Roots gardening service operates in Bournemouth and Poole, for older and disabled people who can no longer manage their gardens. The service is delivered by a team of volunteers.

As you can see Help & Care’s Roots project is a fantastic local charity, which supports two very important groups: those recovering from mental health issues and the elderly, which is why I am so keen to support them.

All contributions to help me achieve my fundraising goal and support this wonderful, local charity are most appreciated. I will be putting in the miles through the winter months to help ensure that I am able to do my best on 23-04-2023 on the 26.2 miles through London’s streets.
