Update on Great South Run.

I finished in 1 hour 50 mins and ran all the way round.  Many thanks to you all for sponsoring me.  It is much appreciated.

Some of you may know that I'm running the Great South Run this year.  In January, I decided I needed a couple of challenges to get myself fit again after having baby James in November.

My first challenge was the Henley Swim in June - a 2.2km swim of the Regatta Course at 4.30am.  I entered with my brother and one of Mat's friends Beccy (see photo) and along with some Olympic swimmers managed to complete this in 53 mins.

The next challenge is the Great South Run at the end of October which I am running for Macmillan Cancer Relief.  Many of you will know that my Dad died of cancer in 1993 and Macmillan were very helpful to our family.  In 2000 I cycled across Mexico, 800km coast to coast in a week for Macmillan - I raised about £3000.  So have decided to run for them again.  I've been training hard over the summer and am often up at 6am before the kids get up to get my training runs in.

Macmillan Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer.  They provide practical, medical, emotional and financial support and push for better cancer care.
