Port to Port 100km cycle challenge · 31 August 2013
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, and sorry it is very late...
For those of you who said you would donate online once I got it all sorted, this is your chance to shine / put your money where your mouth is / fingers are.
Owen Roe (Eoghan Rua) GAC is the local sports club in my home town and it does a great job keeping kids - big & small - fit, and they are very successful at local, county and national level. However, like every club, they need funds to keep going, so this is where my challenge comes in.
100km on a bike may not be much to many people, but given that this time last year I hadn't been on a bike for well over 20 years, and this time 6 months ago I had just broken my ankle and got DVT. it's a BIG deal to me! Route: Portstewart to Portglenone and back.
I hate asking for money like this, which is why it doesn't happen very often. Anything you can spare - from a couple of quid upwards, will be much appreciated. As a special treat, I will share pics of me in full lycra and red face after the cycle.
